Our story
How we got here
2022–24
The idea takes shape
The thesis behind MusicLy developed around a simple observation: an important part of the music-rights market remained underserved. Many opportunities were too small for the largest institutional buyers, yet required specialist knowledge, underwriting and administration that made them difficult for individual investors to access.
2025
MusicLy is established
MusicLy GmbH was established in Switzerland to build a dedicated platform for investing in music rights and related creative IP. We began developing our sourcing network, investment structures and institutional framework, with a particular focus on heritage and culturally significant catalogs.
2026
From acquisitions to platform
MusicLy expanded its acquisition pipeline across the US, UK and Europe while developing Project Blackbook, our underwriting and governance framework, our Investment Series and a systematic approach to catalog value creation. Our US structure provides the foundation for acquiring, holding and managing US music assets.
Today & beyond
Building the AssetTech platform
We are developing the technology, data infrastructure and investment structures needed to make creative rights more accessible, transparent and efficiently managed. Our ambition begins with music, but the infrastructure we are building has the potential to extend over time to other forms of creative IP.
